The Jamaica Jazz and Blues Festival will take place from January 23 to 29 at the Trelawny Multi-purpose Stadium near Falmouth. Jazz legend Natalie Cole will be the headline act on the opening night on Saturday. The line-up for the concert also includes Brenda Russell, Laura Izibor, Maroon 5, SWV, Regina Belle, Ron Isley, Alison Hinds, and many others.
Jamaica Jazz since its introduction in 1996 was known as the Air Jamaica Jazz and Blues Festival. It has attracted thousands of patrons from the USA, Europe, the Caribbean and Jamaica. International artists that have performed at the festival include Diana Ross, Alicia Keys, Lionel Ritchie, Kool & the Gang, Brian McKnight, Erykah Badu and Michael Bolton among others.
